Radio Play

This year's Washacre FM Radio Play is the 7-part 'Robin Hood and his Merrie Men' written and performed by the dramatists of Westhoughton Methodist ADS in conjunction with the Washacre FM production team.

A panto-style, fun romp for all the family - especially children whose imaginations can take them in the forest with Robin and his Merrie Men! There will be two daily broadcasts of each part, the first during the breakfast show, then at 5pm. The final part will be broadcast on the Sunday (times to be confirmed).

Sunday Schedule

Washacre FM 2015 draws to a close with broadcasting continuing until 4:00pm. In and around the John Holt Centre The Showcase Day takes place the Washacre FM Roadshow (not on air) in the play area.

The presenters will be around and popping in to say goodbye and wind up their shows. In the afternoon visitors will have an opportunity to try out the studio and be part of Washacre FM - maybe get a taste for being involved next time.

Showcase Day - Sunday 7th June | 12-4pm

As is tradition on its final day, Washacre FM winds down broadcasting until 4:00pm with the week's presenters popping in to play some tunes and say goodbye for another year.

In and around the John Holt Centre between 12:00 and 4:00pm there will be lots going on - stalls, competitions, raffles for our generous sponsor donations, family activities (bouncy castle and other inflatables), face-painting, and entertainment from the Outside Broadcast Stage overseeing theatre, Muay Thai and Boxercise demonstrations, dance routines from the John Holt's very own XDC (Urban Dance Troupe) and Zumba! Come on down, join in the fun and come and say hello.
